PropertyGuys.com East Kootenay is the local office of PropertyGuys.com, a company that helps people sell their own homes for a flat fee instead of a commission. The company says it has been doing this for more than 25 years. Its page for this area lists Teanna Jensen Salters as the local expert, and says the office serves the East Kootenay, the Crowsnest Pass and the Columbia Valley.
How it works
You choose one of three plans: Starter, Premium or Elite. Every plan puts your home on PropertyGuys.com, gives you a round lawn sign and includes a professional answering service that helps filter calls from buyers. The Premium and Elite plans add professional photography, a posting on REALTOR.ca and legal assistance with closing. Elite also adds a virtual tour.
Showings are up to you. You can show the home yourself, or the company can set up a managed lockbox so that local agents can bring their buyers through.
If you want an agent’s help
For people who would still like licensed help, the Elite plan offers optional real estate services, paid for only if the home sells. They are provided by PG Direct Realty Ltd., Brokerage, and the company says they are not available in every franchise area, so it is worth asking whether they are offered here.
A thought from InvermereBC, not the company’s: if you are thinking of moving to something smaller, ask any seller’s service, this one included, to put in writing what each plan covers and what it costs, and compare it with what an agent would offer. Different people are happier with different routes.

Premium and Elite are quoted for each home, so there is no price to read here; the questions on this page are a good starting list.
