New Dawn Developments

Dreaming of a home in Invermere? New Dawn Developments is a construction and land development company that says it does both halves of the job: it draws the plans, and it builds the house. It makes custom homes for people who want a place to vacation, raise a family or retire.

The company has offices in Cranbrook and Fernie, and has completed residential and commercial projects across the Kootenays and in Alberta. It describes itself as the Kootenays’ most experienced fixed-price builder, and says it has spent more than 40 years refining how it works.

One team, from the first sketch

New Dawn is a full design-build company. Its in-house team includes architectural designers, interior designers, site supervisors and service professionals, working alongside its subtrades. A design centre is part of the process, and the company publishes a guide to its design process.

A price you can plan around

The heart of the offer is the fixed price. New Dawn says the number it gives you at the start is the number you pay when the home is done, and that this helps projects stay on budget and on schedule.

100% transparency through all stages of the project.

That is the commitment the company makes on its own website. It also says changes are pre-approved by the customer, and that building custom does not have to cost more.
