Copper Point Resort is a resort hotel in Invermere, in the Columbia Valley of the Kootenay Rockies. It calls itself Invermere’s premier upscale destination, and it offers comfortable rooms and larger suites, a restaurant on site, and space for weddings, meetings and reunions.
Suites you can settle into
Besides the standard room, Copper Point has one- and two-bedroom suites, and loft versions of both. The suites have a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a washer and dryer and a fireplace, with a balcony or patio and a barbecue. Every room type lists air conditioning and WiFi.
A thought from InvermereBC, not the resort’s: if you are weighing a move to Invermere, a week in one of these suites is a gentle way to try the town. You can cook your own breakfast, do your own laundry and see how the days feel before you decide.
Dinner on site
Elements Restaurant & Bar serves dinner every day from 4 to 10 pm, and breakfast each morning. Its menu changes with the seasons, and the restaurant describes the atmosphere as relaxed yet refined. Sunday features the Prime Dinner, and there is a kids’ menu for when the grandchildren visit.
Reservations are recommended for dinner. You can call Elements directly or reserve online; both are in the contact card.
Golf, winter and the valley
The resort’s golf page highlights play across the Columbia Valley, and points guests to the Fairmont Riverside Golf Course and a golf learning centre that runs programs for golfers of all ages and abilities. There is also a live webcam of the course. In winter, the resort promotes getaways in the Kootenay Rockies, which it says is home to more than half of British Columbia’s major ski resorts.
Copper Point is part of INNhotels, a hotel group based in Stony Plain, Alberta, whose other properties include Invermere Inn and Jasper Inn.
