A good week outdoors, at any pace

You do not need a summit to have a good day outside.
People who move to the mountains often picture the big days first. The ones who stay tend to talk about the small ones: a slow morning by the water, a trail they now know by heart, a bench with a view.
Here is a week built around that idea.
Start slowly
- A morning walk with no destination. Take the same loop every day for a week and see what you notice.
- Coffee by the water. Nothing to do, nowhere to be.
Add a little more
- A short trail with a good place to sit at the end. Pack a thermos.
- A paddle, a swim or a stroll along the shore, whichever the weather allows.
- A round of golf, a bike ride or a class at the rec centre. Pick the one that makes you laugh.
Save one for the big view
Once a week, choose something that makes the trip worthwhile: a longer walk, an early start, a lookout you have been saving.
The best outdoor plan is the one you will actually do again next week.
Move at the pace that keeps you coming back. That is the whole secret.
